'In Conversation with Barnett Newman and Jackson Pollock' by Jina Wallwork
The artists, Jackson Pollock and Barnett Newman were friends. If they could both have a good conversation, then their verbal expression is capable of blending together. Their expression can merge and interact, without a fight for dominance. If this is possible in a conversation, then it is also possible with other aspects of their expression. Their artistic expression should also blend together. In this piece I was trying to find the point, where their artistic expressions blend. I'm the casual observer of a conversation between the two.
In some ways this conversation has simply changed its language. A series of words and tones has become a visual conversation. Their visual language is merging together in an image.
